The Chair of Information Systems and Strategic IT Management (SITM) conducts research on the strategic IT/IS management domain. Currently, our focus is on:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) from a strategic and managerial view
- AI-Supported Organizational Decision-Making
- Augmented Reality for Enterprise Architecture Management (AR EAM)
- Benefits Management and Value of IT (BM)
- Digital Strategy & Digital Transformation Management (DT)
- Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM)
- Green IT and Green IS
- IT Demand Management (ITDM)
- IT/Digital Innovation Management (ITIM)
- Project Management (PM) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
- Smart City (SC)
In our research, we approach these domains from two directions: Following the design science paradigm, we develop and evaluate artifacts (e.g., process models, methods, tools) for strategic IT/IS management. In parallel, we conduct behavioral research to gain an understanding of the conditions under which these (and other) artifacts are accepted, adopted, and proven successful. We ensure that our research results have a practical and sustainable benefit by cooperating with leading enterprises and institutions.
Our teaching program grounds students in the areas of information systems for career preparation across a broad spectrum of industries.
We are engaging in information systems research on today’s business issues. We address a wide variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary topics at the intersection of technology, social sciences, and business.
We enable organizations to boost digital leadership capacity, build digital resources, and improve transformational performance through a range of organizational development programs, evidence-based coaching, and executive education services.
